NYS Boater Certification
Class
New York State will require all motorized boaters to take a safe boating course and earn their safe boating certificate by 2025. If you were born on or after: January 1, 1978, You will need a boating safety certificate when operating a motorized vessel in 2024. Anyone operating a Personal Water Craft (PWC) needs the safe boating certificate.

Taking a boating class reduces your risk of accidents and injuries, saves you money on boat insurance, and qualifies you for a state boat license or operator certificate in NY State.

Class will meet for 5 consecutive Tuesdays & Thursdays
April 16, April 18, April 23, April 25, April 30.
The exam will be on the final class day April 30th.
